On August 30, Ma Hongru, Deputy Secretary General of China Foundry Association, and Wu Rengui, an expert, came to santangpu Town, Shuangfeng County, Hunan Province to investigate the foundry industry, and held a discussion with county government leaders and entrepreneurs on industrial development. Wang Fumei, Deputy Secretary General of the provincial Foundry Association, Yin Chao, deputy county magistrate, Zhao Heping, director of the economic and Information Bureau, and Li Shuanghong, Secretary of the town Party committee, accompanied the investigation.

Ma Hongru pointed out that the foundry industry in Shuangfeng County has the advantages of good foundation for development, distinctive products, a group of practical entrepreneurs, and the government attaches great importance to it. He suggested that the government should actively create a regional platform, promote the development of foundry industry, do a good job in public service platform, and realize resource sharing. All kinds of enterprises should be reformed and improved, and the green management should be strengthened.

It is reported that there are 33 members of Shuangfeng County foundry association, all of which are large-scale enterprises in the industry, including 23 cast steel enterprises and 10 cast iron enterprises, with annual output from hundreds of tons to nearly 10000 tons. After decades of development, the foundry industry has formed a complete industrial chain and a solid sales network. In 2018, Shuangfeng County government resolutely implemented the green, low-carbon and sustainable development strategy, including "santangpu foundry industry upgrading and industrial park construction" into a new major project. The construction plan covers an area of 2000 mu, 10 new standard scale enterprises are increased, and 25 enterprises are upgraded according to industry standards, so as to create a casting industrial park with an output value of more than 10 billion yuan.
